Chili Nightmares!

Yesterday, my sister and I made a TON of chili! She is always getting me involved in these schemes of hers ~ sad thing is, I always get suckered in! Anyway, we are selling chili at a hockey tournament this weekend to raise money for our daycare committee. So, we made over 10 ice cream pails full of chili. Now, that doesn't really sound like a lot. Let me put it into perspective - we cooked over 40 pounds of hamburger! We had to open close to 100 cans of ingredients, I figure. Not to mention chop up some onions and celery. So, let's just say that I won't be eating hamburger for a long time, if ever again!

I took my nephew to a drum clinic on Friday. I figured I'd come home with a massive migraine, but I actually kind of enjoyed it! Maybe I will take up the drums, who knows? It was so nice to be able to go out and do something just me and him. He even commented on that fact, which I thought was so sweet for a 12 year old boy to say. And, apparently I am part of the reason he is so "popular"! I am still unsure as to the reasoning behind that, but I guess you can't argue the facts!

What he means is that next to you - he is very popular. Not being next to you is making him popular!!

You think making the chili was bad, it's 2 days later and my house still stinks like chili powder.
